Boivin

In 1930 Jacques Boivin opened a workshop that produced entirely hand-made ties. Fourty years later the Grandjean family took over the manufacture to sell it to Anne Gillier in 2014, who has been running it since.

The workshop of rue Réaumur is one of the last French tie makers and for a long time concentrated on manufacturing for prestigious ‘luxury houses”. Only very recently Boivin has launched its own collection.

Driven by the excellence maintained by Boivin over the years, Anne Gillier brings dynamism with creating new designs and ensures that the processes of production remain unchanged.

Exceptional ties

Grenadines, twills or Madeira silks come from the best silk-weaving workshops of Côme and make up the 2000 references of fabrics used to manufacture excellent products.

Boivin perpetuates the Parisian savoir-faire of tie making and asserts itself as a world-wide reference.

Philosophy

The first time I opened the door of Boivin, what seduced me is that time is literally hanging.’ Anne Gillier
