The Parkin brothers witnessed the invention of the first motorcars with half hoods in 1904, which inspired them to create a reversible coat with tweed and gabardine. Invertère, meaning "to reverse" in Latin, was the name they gave to their company.
The Shaw family has owned the company since 1948 and offers classic British data-styles like duffle coats and hunting jackets in traditional materials. Invertère's philosophy emphasizes quality and timeless technology.
