Depuis 1873, Moonstar conçoit à Kurume, berceau historique de l’industrie du caoutchouc au Japon, des chaussures qui allient savoir-faire artisanal et innovation technique. Chaque paire est coupée, cousue et assemblée à la main, puis soumise à la vulcanisation (« ka-ryu »), un procédé traditionnel qui, sous l’effet de la chaleur, fusionne durablement la semelle en caoutchouc et la tige en toile.
