Founded in 1919 in Chicago by Reliance Manufacturing, Big Yank has established itself as a reference in American workwear. The brand is known for its durable, functional garments that combine comfort and innovation. After years of dormancy, the brand has been revived under the vision of Japanese designer Kinji Teramoto. Today, production remains true to the original pieces, entirely crafted in Japan—an uncompromising approach that preserves the legacy of authentic and enduring workwear.
The 1935 Chambray shirt has revived the models produced the 1930s and features archetypal Big Yank construction, with triple-needle stitching, bar tack reinforcements throughout, storm cuffs, a single branded aluminium button, urea buttons, and the iconic patented asymmetrical Gacha pockets, one designed for a pen and the other a pack of cigarettes.
