Big Yank
1937 "Diamond Special" Chambray Shirt : Indigo
Founded in 1919 in Chicago by Reliance Manufacturing, Big Yank has established itself as a reference in American workwear. The brand is known for its durable, functional garments that combine comfort and innovation. After years of dormancy, the brand has been revived under the vision of Japanese designer Kinji Teramoto. Today, production remains true to the original pieces, entirely crafted in Japan—an uncompromising approach that preserves the legacy of authentic and enduring workwear.
The 1937 "Diamond Special" Chambray shirt features a slightly longer front than the back. The term "Diamond" refers to the shape of the four ventilation holes at the back of the shirt. The storm cuffs prevent wind from entering, and the back of the shirt is reinforced with a "strain-proof" yoke, which distributes pressure on the fabric.
