The founder of the Japanese label RESOLUTE, Yoshiyuki Hayashi, acted as a designer in the denim industry for over 30 years. The minimal branding is at the center of RESOLUTE philosophy yet the aesthetic is reflected by a high attention to detail on all core elements of the jean by having a true vintage approach and unique pattern. The timeless cut, solid structure and pleasant fading potential of RESOLUTE made Yoshiyuki Hayashi one of the greatest selvedge denim designers of Japan.
During WWII, American jeans were simplified due to material controls, creating the "War Model" with varied designs. RESOLUTE reproduces these vintage details with the 714 model, like laurel-engraved buttons, rivet-free coin pockets, and thick belt loops, modernized with a higher waist and better fit. The GB714 "Ghost Black" 15th Anniversary model is a special limited edition.
