"Pontus" Rachel Knit T-Shirt: Woad
Founded in Lyon in 2011, Arpenteur has built its wardrobe around high-quality French casual clothing. At once timeless and contemporary, Arpenteur draws its inspiration from the worlds of workwear, military, sportswear and adventure.
The PONTUS t-shirt is crafted from authentic Rachel knit. This run-resistant fabric, highly resistant to deformation, was traditionally used to make the striped jerseys of the French Navy.
Naturally dyed with French woad (pastel), a historic plant cultivated in the southwest of France since the Middle Ages. Through a traditional fermentation and oxidation process, it produces a deep, living blue that develops a unique patina over time, making each piece subtly one of a kind.
