VIBERG
Navvy Cut Derby in Annonay Grained Leather : Malt
Founded in 1931 in Victoria, Canada, Viberg still makes its shoes by hand in its own workshop.
The Navvy Cut is a derby inspired by the officer shoe, the military shoe worn by officers. It is built on the Cantilever last, which follows the natural curve of the foot and supports the arch. It has a military rubber heel and a Goodyear construction, so it can be resoled. It is made in Alcazar calf from the Annonay tannery, a leather with a hatched grain that softens and develops a patina with wear.

Founded in Canada in 1931, Viberg first specialised in work boots made for loggers and labourers on the Pacific coast. Today the house applies this craftsmanship to dressier data-styles, still made using traditional methods: Goodyear construction, leathers from leading tanneries and lasts designed to fit the foot naturally.
